Sailing without brakes - when the engine is switched off,
the blades automatically turn to the sailing position due to the water current.
This results in minimal drag and, depending on wind conditions, 15% to 20%
higher speed. No propeller turbulence!
When switching to reverse, a short turn of the shaft turns the leading edge of the blades by 180° and has a higher efficiency than all fixed pitch propellers - in reverse as well as in forward.
