For small yachts with an engine power of 6-40 kW (for regatta and cruising yachts) Sailing without brakes - when the engine is switched off, the blades automatically turn to the sailing position due to the water current. This results in minimal drag and, depending on wind conditions, 15% to 20% higher speed. No propeller turbulence! When switching to reverse, a short turn of the shaft turns the leading edge of the blades by 180° and has a higher efficiency than all fixed pitch propellers - in reverse as well as in forward.Advantages of a VARIPROP feathering blade propeller: Lowest drag Very robust with strong gearing SoftStopTM shock absorber External variable pitch adjustment Shortest hub - ideal for small wells Each Variprop is manufactured to measure Dynamically machine balanced - smoother, quieter movement and absolutely vibration-free Simple installation like a fixed pitch propeller on the shaft Made in Germany from high-strength Nibral bronze - extremely durable DNV-GL type approval Final certification by three-dimensional measuring instrument (MRI) with test certificate Available for shaft system and saildrive GP as in Grand Performance: Or as in Gawn Profile - the GP series is a further development of the previous world-renowned VARIPROP types and is designed for maximum performance. 2-blade VARIPROP GP feathering propeller GP-80 Propeller diameter: 12" - 17", 305mm - 431mm Power hp/kw: 5-30 / 3.6-22 max. 6.5 to. for shaft diameter 20-25mm or 3/4"-1" inch or Saildrive 2-blade VARIPROP GP feathering propeller GP-107 Propeller diameter: 16" - 21", 406mm - 533mm Power hp/kw: 30-80 / 22-59 max. 14 to. for shaft diameter 25-35mm or 1"-1 3/8" inch or Saildrive  You will receive the VARIPROP feathering propeller completely factory-assembled, ready for installation & greased, dynamically balanced, with pre-set pitch according to individual calculation for your yacht.
