The anchor rope with a lead core on the first 10 meters ensures that the anchor can dig in better.
The length of the rope can thus be reduced and it may be possible to dispense without a chain leader on lighter boats.
The rope has many advantages: It is stretch-free, but still elastic enough to compensate for the boat's indentation due to wind and swell and to prevent it from breaking away.
The thimble is made of stainless steel and is firmly spliced in.
